smbtree Error NT_STATUS_HOST_UNREACHABLE
...roblems.
I've recently added a second linux machine (ps3ydl) to the network,
but I cannot access it from any other machines on the network even
though it can access the other network shares.
There error I get is:
cli_start_connection: failed to connect to PS3YDL<20> (0.0.0.0).
Error NT_STATUS_HOST_UNREACHABLE
even though I can ping to ps3ydl.
Any help would be appreciated, details below.

NT_STATUS_HOST_UNREACHABLE when trying to access Linux system samba share
I am getting this message when trying to access Samba shares on a linux system.
I have 2 linux computers and one Win XP system. I can see/access/read/write on
all the WinXP shares from all systems. I can only access the Linux shares on the
local system, that is linux1 can see it's own Samba shares, but can't see or
access the shares on linux2. the reverse is true for linux2 as well. I am

Samba4 and SiteLinkBridges
Hi,
Having an test environment here with four sites, sites 2-4 are connected
to site 1 via vpn. No vpn tunnels between sites 2-4, so the sites 2-4
can only communicate with site 1.
Each site has it's samba4 AD DC server and they are all part of the same
domain.
Did abit of reading and found that i must use so called SiteLinks to
replicate the site objects between sites 2-4 via site 1.

Samba 3.0.24 on OpenWRT
...m32 platform and programmed a board with it,
however I am not able to access a samba share on the board. When trying
to access the OpenWRT router (using the smbclient command) I get:
Error NT_STATUS_CONNECTION_REFUSED
The device is reachable from my linux box (otherwise I should have seen
a Error NT_STATUS_HOST_UNREACHABLE)
I am hoping you can help us out. Below is a small list of
observations/questions:
1. I noticed that the nmbd service is not recognized by our console.
I don't know why that is the case, but the 'smbd' service is. Samba 3
doesn't provide any such menuconfig option to tu...

selftest
Thanks for the reply,
Besides the problem with
source4/lib/messaging/messaging_handlers.c,
Good to hear that selftest is actively used, then do I understand it
right that 'make test' should succeed?
My bigger problem is that it failed with lots of errors.
This must be a problem with my build, then, but since this is a fresh
tarball I am a bit puzzled.
I would appreciate some hint on
