winbindd + wbinfo -> NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO
..."wbinfo -u" shows me all users and "getent passwd" shows me unix & nt users as
well. Needless to say that I was thrilled to see that.
Authentication however still does not work. I am currently trying to run
"wbinfo -a testuser1%testuser1" which always returns
NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO - and I don't know what that means. I tried
to execute "querydominfo" with the rpcclient (running it under the same
account that winbindd uses) which did not result in an error message - I got
the # of accounts, groups and such - I don't know if that's the same thing

ADS auth when primary AD server fails
Im having some trouble getting, or even finding out if this works. I
have read through the samba by example and all the docs i can get my
hands on and i cant get this to work. Maybe it isn't supposed too....
I have setup samba under RHEL4 QU1 to authenticate to AD. I am just
using samba to authenticate users for login purposes. It works fine and
dandy until my primary AD box goes down.

Winbind AIX
Hello,
I'm trying to use Winbind with Samba.
My system : AIX 5.1 level 05
Samba 3.0.2
I think those files are well-configured :
/usr/lib/security/methods.cfg
/etc/security/user
smb.conf
When a user try to connect to the samba server, the error
NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO appears !

wbinfo-g send all domain groups

error code was NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO (0xc00000da)

ntlm_auth question
...ugh windows machines on a daily basis to give my stuffed Tux the creeps. When I run ntlm_auth from the command line, just to verify that it does indeed do what it's supposed to do, I get the following:
root@crbr-1cjib:~# ntlm_auth --username=msnodgrass --request-nt-key --domain=CECNT
password:
NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO: NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO (0xc00000da)
root@crbr-1cjib:~#
I realize that there's probably been someone asking this exact question sometime in the past, and I've googled my heart out on this one to no avail. Any sort of help/point-in-the-right-direction would be greatly appreciat...

Possibly WERR_DS_DRA_ACCESS_DENIED or NT_STATUS_CANT_ACCESS_DOMAIN_INFO
All, but once, I've used it as second DC in conjunction with a Windows AD
server, joining it to an existing domain. Granted, this is the first time
I've used it with a 2008R2 AD domain and forest level.
Before I spent anyone else's time on this, I wiped it completely (down to
new disk labels) and still run into this error.
It is good to know that it should be working. If anyone
