GPFS, samba, robocopy and timestamps
...cked by GPFS. I keep getting "ERROR 50 (0x00000032) Time-stamping
destination file ... The network request is not supported."
What is strange is that the files are still coped over, even though
robocopy believes the copy failed, and in the smb log I don't have any
errors or erroneous NT_STATS messages. From all indications on the
server it looks like the copy was good.
Any ideas? Anyone know if GPFS doesn't support the correct precision
of timestamps that samba is trying to apply?
Thanks!

Tracking down random server drops...
I've been fighting with a samba install on top of a amd64 Ubuntu 10.4 system
for a couple months now. I have a small flotilla of Windows systems running
anything from Win 2000 up through Windows Server 2008. All save for the
2008 systems are setup with nightly NTBackup jobs with my samba server as
the destination. The 2008 systems are running MS SQL and use the samba
server as the

Samba4 multiple DCs replication
Hai Julien,
Ah, ok, then im suspecting a regression bug here.
For some reason somethings this happens, if you've had rebooted the servers, it would probely be fixed also.
There where some older reports on this, but good to know its back or still there
A manual run of : samba_dnsupdate --all-names --verbose
Should/could helped to fix it also.
And Thank you for the quick reply.

NT4 domain: users not found
Hi all;
... trying to get a samba setup running atop debian gnu/linux, I am
stuck in a strange situation: I set up the samba box to be part of a
Windows NT 4 domain, did a net join (which obviously worked, at
least a computer account on the PDC was created) and configured the
machine to see the domain user accounts (wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g
are working, same as there are domain users listed while
