Strange issue with Samba + LDAP + Domain Member
...e PDC I see the following error: "pdb_get_group_sid: Failed to find Unix account for member$" * So I had a look into the nss_ldap and found it wasn't searching the ou=computers, so I added this in, and the error goes. * Then I have a new issue, the domain member and winbind fails with NT_ACCESS_DENIED. * So I remove the nss_ldap entry for the ou=computers and it all works again. Has anyone come across this issue? Any help would be great. Regards, Bryan This message has been scanned for malware by SurfControl plc. www.surfcontrol.com

Some users / Access Denied
...kerberos. Everything works fine for me and most of users but some of them can't access some shares. The strange thing is that they are in groups which normally allowed them to. When i exec a wbinfo -r user, I saw them in the right group (the one put on the share) !!! In the log I just see an NT_ACCESS_DENIED without more explanation. So if someone could help ... Thanks, Benjamin

Samba PDC can't log into XP domain members
...office a PDC, and successfully joined 5 Windows XP/2K clients to the domain. Single-sign-on is working everywhere, and Samba shares work as expected. However, I can't successfully log into the Windows XP clients from other computers on the network as anything other than guest. I get "NT_ACCESS_DENIED" errors when I try to access a shared printer on one computer. Another computer with a large hard drive acts as a backup storage location, which works with anonymous login, but I can't seem to log in with any domain credentials. So I can't secure it that well, and I can't acc...

AD shares in samba & permissions
...9 and a working AD integration. I used the redhat guide to create a share, but it's only working partly. Ie the second group of valid users I add after the comma doesn't have access to the share. You get a popup like access DENIED. /var/log/samba/log.accessmachine shows the same error NT_ACCESS_DENIED. I think it's due to the fact that the owner of the share dir is root and the group DOMAIN\group1 (that how I chgrp'ed the shared dir) <- ie only the group owner seems to have access to the dir. I'd like a config where multiple AD groups have access to a shared dir, can anyone...
