PRI and echocancel
Hello, I have a crossover PRI(Asterisk server to PBX) and a regular telco PRI T1 line and currently have echocancel=yes and echocancelwhenbridged=yes on those spans in zapata.conf. I was discussing CPU load with another Asterisk user and he mentioned that PRIs don't need echo cancelation and that turning it off will reduced CPU load on the server. I checked many sample configs and the

Using GEE with sample weights
...vel of attrition. After searching the documentation I am unable to find a way to incorporate sample weights into the gee formula. I found a way to incorporate precision weight but I understand that I cant use that function for sample weight. I appreciated all help on this issue. 2012/2/6 thomas schorpp <thomas.schorpp at googlemail.com>: > Hi, Hi Thomas, > I want the driver report the battery status from ABM charging controllers > -patch attached- : thanks for your patch. since it introduces a new variable (battery.status.abm), I prefer to step back and think to something useful more widely. thus, I'm thinking about a generic

disable console channels
I have a Digium TDM400 in my system and I'm using my main system as my asterisk box at home (very light load). When I start up *, though, it grabs my sound card and I cannot play other music through it (e.g. x/ XMMS). I have moved the alsa.conf and oss.conf files so that there is no configuration for them (though those files seemed to do little), but still the sound card is grabbed. How can

Another small suggestion patch
It's nice to be able to define the list of asterisk modules we want to load from the /etc/sysconfig/zaptel file rather than directly in /etc/init.d/zaptel. I'm using nufone and don't require anything but the ztdummy (is the rtc-based module better, anyone?), so that's what I've put here. These are based on zaptel-1.0-RC1. Finding operator from ISDN signalling?
hi Is it possible to find out what source/destination operator you're connected to from the ISDN signalling? Number lookups no-longer work since number porting begun, and access to the national database for these numbers cost too much :( thanks roy

Meetme conf and Shoutcast
We would like to know if there is a way to broadcast (in realtime) a conferance. We hold large phone conferances and would like to know if we could have some of our users listen over a streaming services. Formats we have looked at include: Shoutcast,Real Networks,QuickTime, and dare I say Windows Media player. The issue we have, is that I can not find a way to transfer the stream in realtime

D-Channel on span 1 up/down + frame slips with zaptelBRI
I have installed two HFC PCI A-cards running zaphfc from bristuff-0.0.2, which seems to work quite fine, but I continously receive the messages "D-Channel on span 1 up" followed by "D-Channel on span 1 down" with a few seconds interval. Why is that? Bri intense debug log and configuration files below. I don't need ztdummy or zaprtc, do I? I get some frame slips as well,

zaphfc syslog flooding
Hi, my zaphfc is flooding my syslog with two messages (even without asterisk running). Is this "normal"?: -------------------------------------------------- zaphfc: bchan rx fifo not enough bytes to receive! (z1=1360, z2=1353, wanted 8 got 7), probably a buffer overrun. zaphfc: dropped audio (z1=2712, z2=2695, wanted 8 got 17, dropped 9). With Asterisk running (asterisk -vvvvvgc)

Vector comparison to matrix
I am looking for a fast way to count the number of rows in a matrix are identical to a pattern vector. For example, if I am interested in counting the number of row vectors in a matrix that are identical to (1,2,3) what would I do? I have tried the identical statement in a loop but this is far too slow. I have a very large matrix and need to avoid loops at all costs. Thanks for any help.

Ext2/3 fs and defragmentationn
Hi all, Fewer days ago a CentOS box server suffered a manual and unexpected reset (too large to explain: there are silly people in everywhere). The result was the system did not mount de root (/) partition and the boot process was stopped. I repair it easily: boot from LiveCD (Knoppix in my case), umount root partition and pass the e2fsck utility. Because of that I've used several fs tools
