Puppet Agent on Windows - High CPU Usage
I recently noticed that the Windows host where I installed the Puppet agent for testing was thrashing the CPU. The culprit ended up being Ruby.exe *32 - "Ruby interpreter (CUI) 1.8.7.334 [i386-mingw32]". This is actually being launched by the puppet-agent service in Windows. The CPU on the host was pegged around 50% all day long. When I shut down the puppet-agent it went down to a

Icecast install under Windows
Hi Marvin, I followed the wiki instructions and they went w/o any issues until C:\Users\username> nssm start Icecast Can't open service! OpenService(): Access is denied! Probably a good idea to mention that the command window needs to be Run as administrator. Then it works. Many thanks! -- Jack Elliott On 5/14/2015 10:07 AM, Marvin Scholz wrote: > On 14 May 2015, at 18:36, Jack Elliott...

Win32 Service
Hello, What's about to use Icecast as win32 service? In the new installation of 2.4.0, the option for installing as win32 service isn't available. Would it be implemented in the future? Best version of Icecast? / Icecast as a service? / Videostreaming?
Hello, 1. Which version of Icecast is the best and newest. Officially it is 2.4.4 at icecast.org. But is there a mod version with more features? 2. Who can run Icecast as a Windows service? My 2.4.3 version does not support this. Older versions had this option during installation. 3. Can Icecast stream also video livestream? Where can I find more about it? Kind regards. -------------- next

Icecast install under Windows
Oh dear. Okay, can anyone suggest how to install Icecast under Windows as a service, and to be able to bring up some kind of console to start/stop it? I can launch Icecast using the installed .bat file, but it's clunky. -- that Jack Elliott 541 848 7021 Producer Wednesday Point, Host, The Sunday Classics KPOV 88.9, High Desert Radio Audio geek On 05/14/2015 09:21 AM, Ross Levis wrote:

[Icecast-dev] Icecast 2.4.1 release (Windows Installer)
...for: starting server (console window MUST stay open), web interface and documentation. - Supports HTTPS aka "SSL" (TLSv1 and up, really), see documentation for details. Things still on my ToDo list for future releases: - Windows service installation (there is a workaround utilizing "nssm" though) - Uninstall option to purge also config and web files, currently retained to enable easy reinstallation I've done some installation and runtime testing including HTTPS and didn't notice any problems. Actually I'm listening to a stream right now over HTTPS. If there are an...
