i read about this problem and i know, that calling
nsIXMLHttpRequest.status causes it.
prototype has a try-catch-block around this.
But whats about the reasons?...

Ajax.InPlaceEditor on Safari & Firefox
Hi,
I''ve downloaded the latest svn trunk and was glad to see that
Ajax.InPlaceEditor forms can now be correctly submitted on Safari as
well, with the server response being correctly displayed as well.
The problem is, however, that clicking again on the same element
(after sumbitting it first) will duplicate the submit form. The next
attempt will triplicate it etc, etc...

Napster 4.6.3.4 nearly running!
Hi Guys,
I think I've nearly got the latest version of Napster running. I've installed WMP10 through WineTricks and then installed napster running in Windows XP compatibility. Napster installs fine and runs but complains about cookies not being enabled in the browser, which is preventing me from logging in. I've tried installing IE6 through winetricks then changing the privacy

trying to remove a <SELECT> node from the DOM using the remove()
function. It chokes when the script runs, though. To be more specific,
