Does anyone know of any FOSS tools that can assist in benchmarking ISC DNS and DHCP services? I would like to simulate X number of users attempting to pull an IP, resolve DNS names, etc. I would also like to test TCP connections into a CentOS server. We have some software that communicates with equipment via a TCP connection and I want to simulate thousands of TCP connections coming into one

My reasoning to want to do this with libvirt is that we get support for both Xen, QEMU/KVM and LXC and libvirt has, from my first impressions, good support for Python which means quicker prototyping and better looking code. Hi, A thought for the list. As I mentioned in another posting, there are a lot of QoS mechanisms out there. Linux supports some, but not all. Some patchsets add others, but don''t work for all kernels. There are also userland implementations, usually sitting in software routers, but there are other packages.
