Vorbis bistream definition / separation from ogg
Hi,
I have some questions:
1) in the sources of the encoder_example (and of course in oggenc.c,
too) I see a lot of dependance
on ogg. I want to get totally rid of ogg and use the vorbis bitstream
alone.
From this reason stems the second question:
2) is there a definition of the vorbis bitstream somewhere? I don't need
to know every single
detail, just the informations necessary to

How to specify sample sizes?
Hi,
quoting the vorbis doc
"Vorbis frames may be one of two PCM sample sizes specified during codec
setup. In Vorbis I, legal frame sizes are powers of two from 64 to 8192
samples. Aside from coupling, Vorbis handles channels as independent
vectors and these frame sizes are in samples per channel."
I want to explicitly specify the sample size, so, how can I do it?
Can I set min_size

Incompability between libvorbis and tremor from svn?
Hi,
I'm experiencing a serious problem when trying to replace libvorbis with
tremor (from svn):
premitting that I don't want to use the ov_* functions, calling
vorbis_synthesis_headerin()
on the 3 initial packets works with libvorbis but immediately fails with
tremor.
At first sight it seems that the function in tremor either receives a
leading \n before every header

buffer overflow in receive_file_entry
Hi,
I have two identical servers running Mandrake 10.0 + many bugfixes.
I installed the plain rsync 2.6.3 (and after that the last cvs checkout,
but with identical results)
and configured rsync as xinetd daemon on one of the two, rsync as client
on the other.
This is the result:
[root@server rsync-2.4.4]# rsync -avz server::sitis/mydir/
receiving file list ... overflow: flags=0xb6ee l1=21

Question about blocksizes
Hi,
can someone explain whats the meaning of the two blocksizes in the first
header of Vorbis, please?
So far I assumed that they meant that 2^b0 and 2^b1 were the only two
blocksizes used during
the whole encode, but something makes me believe they are not:
if b0 and b1 are 0xb8 respectively (that I interpeted as 2^11 = 2048
and 2^8 = 256) I observe 3 different deltas between each couple of
