A question on Unit Root Test using "urca" toolbox
Hello,
I have a question on unit root test with urca toolbox.
First, to run a unit root test with lags selected by BIC, I type:
> CPILD4UR<-ur.df(x1$CPILD4[5:nr1], type ="drift", lags=12, selectlags ="BIC")
> summary(CPILD4UR)
The results indicate that the optimal lags selected by BIC is 4.
Then I run the same unit root test with drift and 4 lags:
> CPILD4UR1<-ur.df(x1$CPILD4[5:nr1], type ="drift", lags =4)

Hiding some stuff
Hi,
Is there a way i could hide "netlogon", "profiles", "homes", etc., from my
windows 2000 users ?
Will "hide files" solves the issue, or is there another way ?
Any help would be appreciated.

Restricting file types
Samba List:
Is it possible to limit what filename extensions can be stored in a
samba share? We use samba to allow our windows web designers to use drag
and drop when deploying new pages on our website. We want to be able to
limit which filename extensions can be saved to these shares. Is this
possible and if not and alternatives?

Winbind PAM authentication
Config: Solaris 8, OpenLDAP winbind backend, using AD for global users.
Is there documentation on what service_name / module_type pairs are
supported by pam_winbind? I've gone through the Samba-3 HOWTO book
and internet searches, but haven't found anything difinitive. I have been
able to tell through experimentation that winbind doesn't work with
"rsh auth", giving a

Samba 2 or Samba 3
Hello,
I am planning using Samba (on Solaris 7) as a PDC for Windows NT4 & 2000
Server. Connecting it to a LDAP server. There will be 4 different PDC (1
in each DMZ) sharing the same username (same LDAP server).
I want to know the major difference between Samba 2 and Samba 3, which one
is more stable and which one would fix better in my architecture plans.
Thanks

not all clients have to reinclude to the domain, but it does not work.

sambaAcctFlags automatically DUX when logon
hi all,
as I wrote yesterday I've set up a samba3.0.3 as pdc for my w2k-domain with
ldapsam-backend
(cyrus-sasl, heimdal) on suse9.0.
everything worked fine. but yesterday the /dev/sda1 (/homes; xfs file
system) crashed, when I created a new user with smbldap-useradd. I could
repair the xfs file system and everything seemed fine.
to test the system I've created a new user. but the new

inetd & etc
Hello.
I know that it is recommended to run smbd as a standalone daemon and to
avoid inetd. Can you please tell me why inetd is discouraged and what
problems it imposes?
Also, I have one user who is having problems accessing her personal files
on a MacOSX 10.3.2 via smb. Any ideas what may be causing it?
