ices 0.2.2 does not reencode mp3s
I recently upgraded ices from 0.1.0 to 0.2.2. I have found that it is not reencoding my mp3 stream, even though I have it configured to. This is on a RedHat linux 7.0 system, kernel 2.4.11 ices build commands: ./configure --with-perl --with-lame \ --with-lame-includes=/usr/local/src/lame-3.89/include \ --with-lame-libraries=/usr/local/src/lame-3.89/libmp3lame/.libs gmake

live streaming (from microphone to HTTP)
Can anyone share some ideas or point me to some documentation on how I can easily begin streaming live audio? My input would be /dev/audio (my microphone or soundcard input). Is there some type of small HTTP server that can use this /dev/audio piped through oggenc (or the ogg vorbis library built into the httpd)? Or do I use a FIFO and any regular httpd? (I am running NetBSD.) Thanks,

Liveice & Icecast...help
Yes, I downloaded the aumix utility and am using it now. Set line in to %50 then %25 and to record but still the same thing. I'm streaming from the line in on the sound card which is being fed from a portable radio nearby. I get the distortion whether I have the audio fed into 'line in' or not.
