"posix locking = no" - is it dangerous?!
...sking myself... what if I use "posix locking = no" to
a share in a Samba server?!
Here goes 3 URL's describing the some problem I have right now:

The last one suggest a patch to the kernel code, but I do not want to
touch anything at such level. I've been testing some "locking" options
and could realize that "posix locking = no" brought me an work around
to this problem.
But here comes a...

2.4.1 Voltages are Great for CP1000AVRLCD, but usbfs messages in logs (a lot)
Arjen, all,
Just dropping a note on two points. First, Voltages are perfect in 2.4.1 for
the Cyberpower ups's. Glad to see I'm not pushing 20+ any more:

I found the following link that describes my problem rather well, but
I'm not able to test this sollution because it involved some patch
reverting etc to old kernels.
http://blog.notreally.org/ (blog entry of dec, 19th 2007). I could do
the memory hack that is described there to test if this is actually my
problem, but I thought, let's first ask here.
The following lines from the blog seem to describe my problem really

RE: current version
To be clear I meant using Chan)_h323 with Call Manager where CM is
configured
with * as a H.323 gateway, not client.
CM supports H.323 to direct calls through gateways, and in fact until
recently
that is all they supported. They now also have MGCP, but only to their
IOS
platforms, and SIP is coming soon. There are NO sccp-based gateways,
from Cisco
anyways.
