Slow access from Windows 7 to samba share on CentOS 6.6 after upgrade
Hi all,
Did anybody notice a really slow access from Windows 7 (especially from the MS Office suite) when trying to open a Word-doc for example, that sits on a samba share on a computer recently upgraded to CentOS 6.6?
It can take up to two-three minutes to open a 20 kB Word-doc...
I tested with the latest available LibreOffice for Windows on the same Word-docs, but this one doesn't show

Monitor application temporary hack
...use "soxmix" to mix the channels, which is a part of more recent versions of sox. "wxmix" will also work if you're storing things as inefficient .wav files.
Note2: From my testing, it seems that 1 minute of two-leg gsm soundfile equals almost exactly 100k of diskspace.
Note3: DTMF, unless you are using in-band, of course is not recorded.
Note4: Recording volume is a little quiet; you may need headphones to hear things well. You may twiddle with some of the features in sox to change this.

Note on the 4.5.16, yes i've builded them but please really, upgrade to a supported samba version.
Note2: Test these before you put them in production please but again use one of the supported packages.
Note3, Again TEST THEM, i did not have much time to test these myself, the look ok to me.

C++ Set_Metadata Problem
I refer to a problem that appeared on the flac list last August that was
either solved off-list or abandoned.
(http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/flac/2005-August/000468.html)
The problem is with using the C++ encoder classes, particularly the
FLAC::Encoder::File:set_metadata
function. JC said that the developers version of how to add a simple
metadata block looked right, but it did not work for
