Netlogon scripts on samba ad mode
Hello everyone,
Someone can explain me please how netlogon scripts work on Samba running on active directory mode ? Is the "logon script " parameter still working ? I'm trying setup some scripts but still have no success .

replication problems in samba4 ad domain
I started with one dc, 'dc1', running samba v4.0.21, in subnet1.
I successfully added two more dc's, 'dc2' and 'dc3', both running samba v4.0.24, both in subnet2.
There are several firewalls between subnets 1 & 2.
I continued to make firewall holes on behalf of msad after I added dc's 2 & 3. I.e. when they were added, there were patterns of communication

I would guess it comes from distros (mostly the Linux ones) staticly
assigning UID and GIDs to certain services to make the package managers job
easier.

Assuming the DNS for the site is setup correctly, the srv records should be
evenly spreading the load among the servers on the site that the client is
on.
With Windows based domain the answer to this question is either fix your
ldap client to use the SRV records and not use only the DC with the PDC
Emulator role, or add more DCs to the site. I would assume the answer is
the same for a Samba
