Reading SPSS .por files
Does anyone know how to read SPSS .por (ie Portable) files? The foreign package only deals with SPSS .sav files and not with those with a "por" extension. Make a column from columns
Hi, I have a data matrix with 13 columns and 55 rows. First coulmn is year and other are monthly values for 55 years. Now i want to create a single column of all the values ( i e a single time series column from column 2 to 13 ). Is it the for loop that works here ...how ? or how i can rearrange the data so that it becomes a times series column. hope i made the question clear . thank you,

Could not find working SSLeay?
I'm installing openssl 0.9.5a and openssh 2.3.0p1 on an Ultra 5 running Solaris 8 with the latest cluster patch. Openssl installed without any problems. Possible to make samba ignore file permissions?
I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Is there a way to setup samba to pretty much ignore file permissions, but allow the write list of users to modify files in shares?
