I also prefer a control on what kind of point I want to use for different

How can I use "puppet apply" with hiera?
...e a puppet master server with Hiera and it
works great. I also want to be able to apply my manifests locally on a
node. I have installed Hiera on my node and I can verify using the Hiera
command line application that values can be looked up:

Problems registering with Sipphone
Has anyone else had problems registering with Sipphone over the last
few weeks?
Previously, this had worked fine. I contacted Sipphone technical
support, but they're not much help.

avoiding for loops
I have data that looks like this:
> df1
group id
1 red A
2 red B
3 red C
4 blue D
5 blue E
6 blue F
I want a list of the groups containing vectors with the ids. I am
avoiding subset(), as it is
only recommended for interactive use. Here's what I have so far:
df1 <- data.frame(group=c("red", "red", "red", "blue",

AS/400 - Unix Connectivity
Hi Folks,
I've used Samba in the past for Windows NT - Unix connectivity situations.
I wondered if Samba also supported AS/400 - Unix connectivity, specifically
to allow AS/400 to read/write to a Unix file system...??
