bug resolve yet for export OCFS2 volume to NFS client ?
I found this from ocfs1.4 document:
g) NFS
OCFS2 volumes can be exported as NFS volumes. This support is limited to
NFS version 3, which translates to Linux kernel version 2.4 or later.
Users must mount the NFS volumes on the clients using the nordirplus
mount option. This disables the READDIRPLUS RPC call to workaround a bug
in NFSD, detailed in the following link:
http://oss.oracle.com/pipermail/ocfs2-announce/2008-June/000025.html
Users running NFS version 2 can export the volume after having disabled

...Dovecot version and configuration is the same that in CentOS 6, also

zfs crashes with nfs and snapshots
Hi folks,
I just saw one of my FreeBSD servers (7.0-stable of June 2008) crash while
trying to access the .zfs snapshot directory via a nfs client machine.
The server got a page fault caused by the nfsd process. It wasn't even
able to dump the kernel image anymore.
Resetting the machine it first appeared to come back fine, but shortly
before the login prompt the nfsd let it crash hard again

Dovecot mailstore performance tuning
...her that is in the NFS client, Dovecot or Linux OS/kernel
areas.?? We use LDAP for auth and I am doing some tuning in that
area.?? The NFS filesystems are mounted with the options below:
10.11.0.238:/mailbox_store_01 on /home1 type nfs4
(rw,relatime,vers=4.0,rsize=65536,wsize=65536,namlen=255,hard,nordirplus,proto=tcp,port=0,timeo=600,retrans=2,sec=sys,clientaddr=10.11.0.96,local_lock=none,addr=10.11.0.238)
My dovecot config is below.? I am not seeing any obvious issues in
the server logs.??? Any suggestions on how to improve performance
would be appreciated.
Thanks

3. Instead of storing the mails within the virtual machine, I'm using
the host's drive. This is via an exported NFS4 folder from the host,
mounted on the guest, using the options:
"auto,noatime,hard,intr,async,nordirplus".
4. My intent is to have the new virtual server become the primary mail
server. The mail store will continue to be accessed by NFS4. No other
servers or processes (besides backup) should access the mail store.
So...my question is what is the best method for the migration?

Heads up regarding using nfs with ocfs2

clients.
If you are using OCFS2 is such an environment and have experienced
such lockups, look into disabling READDIRPLUS in the NFS clients.
Refer to the NFS man page in your distribution for instructions on
the same. On Linux, it typically is done by mounting with the
mount option "nordirplus".
Also, it would be helpful if all users using OCFS2 with NFS can let
us know whether they have or not experienced the issue. Please include
the number of nodes in the cluster, kernel version, OCFS2 version,

Reg: ocfs2_wait_for_mask [nfsd]
Hi All,
we have installed the below ocfs2 version and exported the ocfs2 FS over nfs
to some other nfs clients.

ocfs2-2.6.18-164.10.1.el5-1.4.7-1.el5
ocfs2console-1.4.4-1.el5
after some time or some day, we can't access the monted FS in nfs client.
Below are process which we see issue on the nfs server when we have problem

Dovecot on GlusterFS via NFS is... strange.
...caused the imap process to die repeatedly and the user got
disconnected many many times. In this state the mail services were
not really usable.
Side note: The NFS share was mounted by using the most conservative
moint options I could think of:
vers=4.1,rsize=131072,wsize=131072,nosharecache,noac,nordirplus,proto=tcp
And if you're wondering: Yes, I'm using Dovecot director for IMAP
and LMTP (currently running 3 VMs for Dovecot director and 3 VMs for
Dovecot IMAP).
Then the fun began... I've decided to change the following settings:
mail_nfs_storage = no
mail_nfs_index = no
