CentOS5U2 waiting too long when ssh login to other linux servers
The waiting time is about 50s on my CentOS box now. "yum remove openssh* "and "yum install openssh*" can't make it right. "mv ~/.ssh{,.bak}" not works either. Here comes my tcpdump log, I am not an expert on SSH, Can anyone here get me out of this? Thanks Ryan [root at centos5u2 ~]# tcpdump -s 1520 -nn port 22 tcpdump: WARNING: peth0: no IPv4 address assigned

Slow performance to samba server with OSX client
Dear List, I'm hoping there is someone that might give me some pointers to solving the following problem. I run Mac OSX Tiger and perform a filecopy using Finder to a samba share on a Gentoo Linux machine running samba version 3.0.14a. Copying a 1GB file to the fileserver takes roughly 2 hours (33,9 MB in 4 min). This means 142 kb/s over a Gigabit network. Now here is the strange thing: When

smbmounts hang around after windows client disconnects
Using 2.2.1a and a 2.4 kernel patched for win4lin. Everything is working but: I mount all the available network shares on my linux box as root to one network directory. If a windows client shuts down while the linux box is still connected, the share is not removed from my mount list or from /proc/mounts It cannot be removed with umount. I can kill the smbmount with kill -15 but the share is still

Routing issue
Hello, This is on Centos 6 and not something I think is wrong with Centos 6 but I am looking to see if anybody else has experienced this and if there is solution. So thanks up front for indulging me. Because Linux makes routing decisions before SNAT it is causing problems when trying to use FTP with two upstream providers in a load balanced setup. Other than ftp, things seem to work OK. Below

Netfilter conntrack problem...
Hi folks, I have the following in my firewall (condensed version) [CentOS 4.2: 2.6.9-11.EL.i686 kernel]: INPUT: --state ESTABLISHED,RELATED -j ACCEPT -p tcp -j REJECT --reject-with tcp-reset -j REJECT OUTPUT: ACCEPT The connection is over a wireless link so packets _do_ get dropped even though throughput is around 100-400 kB/s (depending on atmospheric conditions, etc.) Now I've noticed

[LLVMdev] llvm-objdump
Hi Kev, I'm glad to hear llvm-objdump is getting attention. I'm unclear on how much output specialization one could (or should) do for ELF vs. Mach-O. If you're game, let's compare an example: $ cat labeltest.s .text foo: nop bar: bum: nop jmp bar jmp bum jmp baz nop baz: nop Assembling for x86 and llvm-objdump'ing, i get $ llvm-mc

Very slow file copy performance over a WAN (HELP)
Hi, I've noticed that over a WAN (T1) I'm getting incredibly slow file copy performance. Using smbclient on a linux machine on one size of the WAN, As you can imagine, this makes all of our file shares unusable over the WAN. It's not an issue with WAN performance, because using scp to transfer the same file, I get speeds of ~145k/s. A tcpdump of the file copy of ~2MB file that actually

35 second wait when cache expired
Hello, I've got an issue with RHEL6 running smbd & winbindd version 3.6.9-168.el6_5. This is authenticating against a Windows 2008R2 domain using the rid backend. If I run any command that has to look up user info I get a 35 second delay, after this initial delay it's fine until the cache time-out, then it happens again. This is making logins and most commands hang for 35 seconds

chan_h323 + Ericsson Webswitch 100
I'm haveing trouble connecting an Ericsson Webswitch 100 to asterisk. Has anyone gotten a Webswitch running? When I try to connect asterisk thinks everything works fine, while the webswitch just rings. I belive chan_h323 is picking the wrong port to talk at the webswitch on, however I'm not sure, nor am I sure how to fix it. Any clues/hints? A tcpdump is attached to show the session.
