read.table: wrong error message? (PR#10592)
--Apple-Mail-44--797532055
Content-Type: text/plain;
charset=US-ASCII;
format=flowed;
delsp=yes
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
I believe read.table may report misleading errors. In this example,
where a header line in a file has an incorrect number of row names (28
instead of 29), I get the error message "duplicate row.names are not
allowed".
However, I cannot not find any

kripp.alph error message
Hi! I fairly new to R, have only done pretty basic things so far, so this may
be a very basic question..... But I did search the forums and didn't see a
solution....
I'm trying to get going with kripp.alpha(). I'm loading data from a file,
like this:

* CNAME loop
Hi,
I'm testing:
$ sudo nsd-control status
version: 4.0.1
verbosity: 2
I found a loop problem with this record:
* IN CNAME none
("none" means no matching record in zone and therefore match * again)
Queries that use "* CNAME" will result in a loop. The response will use TCP
and will be limited to 65k bytes

GLM FITTED VALUES TABLE
Hi all
I have the following generalized linear problem.
In a study of allergic responses, patients arriving at a clinic in
Groote Schuur hospital were tested for sensitivity to a number of
substances. Three of these were moulds: Cladosporium (C), Alternaria
(F) and Aspergillius (T). Their level of sensitivity was measured on
the Rast Scale as: 0: not allergic 1: mildly

[PATCH] nvc0: add hardware ETC2 and ASTC support where possible
These are supported on GK20A and GM107.
Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu>

Was a bit torn on where to place the enums... we're about to gut all
the xml definitions so this seemed appropriate for now.
Tested on GK20A only.

[PATCH v3 0/2] v2v: Copy *.dll files since they can be part of the
v2 -> v3
- Don't make a special case for WdfCoInstaller* files. There is a
difference of opinion about whether copying these is necessary, but
it seems like it is not harmful.

yum priorities question
Hello,
I have a question about working principles of yum.
Here are the details:
Installed package: GeoIP.i386 1.4.4-1.el5.centos
Repo: CentOS Extras
Priority for CentOS Extras repo: 1
"yum update" wants to replace the above package with the following:
Package: geoip.i386 1.4.5-1.el5.rf
Repo: rpmforge
Priority for rpmforge: 15
And yes, the following is already in the priorities.conf

[PATCH 09/23] nv50-: separate vertex formats from surface format descriptions
Why not fix the new names instead to be like the old names? Seems like that
would be way simpler...

chan_capi and hanging channels
hi
using chan_capi, I get _lots_ of hanging channels after a while. This was
first beleived to be SIP related, but I doubt it. below, 'roy' is on MGCP,
and 'fax' is just a bridged dial if someone dials in, it's re-routed to
another external number

[PATCH 09/23] nv50-: separate vertex formats from surface format descriptions
From: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs at redhat.com>
We've previously had identical naming between vertex and texture
formats, so it mostly made sense to define these together.
However, upcoming patches are going to transition the driver over to
using updated texture header definitions using NVIDIA's naming, and this
will no longer be the case.

rgl problem on Fedora 13
Just installed Fedora 13, and reinstalled the lastest rgl package 0.91.
The problem is that open3d() opens a window, but then halt. Nothing
happens and I have to kill R.
In the previous version of Fedora 12, everything worked fine.
Any tests etc I should/could do?
Best,
H

Question about hardware failures / FSD
Hello,
The UPS I am developing a driver to is able to report several flags for
critical hardware conditions, like overheat, overload, inverter failure,
output short etc. What should be the correct policy of operation when such
a condition occurs? I think that the an UPS in such a condition is not
reliable and therefore a system shutdown should be called. However, the
developer's manual and
