iptables: recent nolonger supported in Centos 5.8?!
Helo, we use recent to control ip traffic. kernel 2.6.18-308.13.1.el5 : all is OK kernel 2.6.18-308.16.1.el5 : the first recent statement causes an error. E.g.: iptables -A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m recent --set -p tcp --dport 80 iptables: Unknown error 18446744073709551615 The man pages say: recent is supported. CentOS 6: is OK Knows anyone more? Pickup an unanswered line
...sk would be a perfect solution for the remaining 15 students. So far I managed to get things running, but if I configure extensions.conf like exten => s,1,Answer exten => s,2,DigitTimeout(10) exten => s,3,ResponseTimeout(20) exten => s,4,Background(vm-extension) the old PBX users can nolonger answer the line, since Asterisk answers it. Is it possible to answer an incoming call by dialing (eg.) an * (or dial 8)? (also possible to broadcast caller ID without answering???) shutting down a mysql server renders cdr_mysql dead and asterisk nolonger makes or receives calls
At approximately 3:15pm I shut down the office MySQL server to change out some hardware. Shortly after I received a call from one of two customers whose asterisk servers output CDR data to that server. They could not place or receive calls. Shortly after that I received a call from the other customer. I'm below providing output from the message log (At debug level). I don't see much

ADS Authentication
I'm about ready to smash my head through a wall...I could use a few answers. 1. When using security = ads, and completing net ads join, it was my understanding that samba authenticated username/pword against ads, and local posix accounts were nolonger needed, is this true? 2. If yes, I have not been able to get it to work. If I have a posix user account with the same name as one in ADS, even if pwords are different, I can log on to the samba server. If no identical posix/ADS account exists on the samba server, then I cannot connect. An...

problem with building package in R 2.6.0
Hello, I can nolonger build R packages in R 2.6.0 (win xp). I get the error message 'sh' is not recognized as an internal or external command. In earlier versions of R I had no problems. Maybe that someone can help me with this. Jean-Paul Fox. C:\PROGRA~1\R\R-2.6.0\bin>Rcmd build --force --bi...

message-of-the-day feature?
For lack of a better name, we are interested in a feature where one could get a notice out to all Dovecot users as quickly as possible, possibly without going through an MTA even. Given a message and a list of userids we could certainly do a mailing on the MDA server itself going through both Postfix and Dovecot LDA. However, we were wondering what other options we might have in Dovecot. For

samba-4.1.19: resolving local unix group failes when there exists a local unix user with same name
Hi, after upgrading samba from 4.1.17 to 4.1.19 on OpenSuSE 13.2, any shares offered by this machine can nolonger be accessed, when these shares contain an entry "force group" which specifies a local unix group and when there exists a unix user with the same name. Rather ominous resource consumption figures
Hello, Yesterday I posted about how to email from a worker. I decided to be a bit piggy and just inhale all of rails. Sorted. I am noticing some rather ominous behavior though. The setup: My worker takes an uploaded image as a param and passes it (via system call) to a C++ image processing engine. Take a look at these memory consumption figures for successive runs uploading the identical image

As I know little about all the various rpm tools, I don't know how to do what is described there without rpmrebuild. rpmbuild --rebuild seems to ONLY build from a source archive, so it doesn't seem to do what I need. [Bug 749] Connection is dropped for invalid user
...serid und an rsa1 key, the connection is dropped immediatly. Normaly, a wrong username will stay in the auth_loop and keep requesting authentication from the user. The reason is in auth-rsa.c in line 293: /* no user given */ if (pw == NULL) return 0; Invalid users nolonger are passwd as NULL-pointers, a faked pw struct is used instead. This results in a call to temporarily_use_uid(pw) with the faked pw struct, which fails with fatal(). As a patch I tried /* no user given */ if (pw == fakepw()) return 0; which worked, but maybe...

Switch between Wine Versions for best App support - "glow"
Hallo wine users, I just found a (maybe!?) very unkown project for better wine handling. It is named glow (- some GLasses Of Wine) and enables wine users to start their applications with different versions of wine easily. The motivation for this python-script is of course the problem that some satisfactorily supported windows applications does not any longer run so well in later versions of wine.
