Speed
Hi all I'm new to the list, so I hope this si the right one to post too. I've setup a linux box with Samba and as a DHCP server. Now I find that Samba is very slow for access, is this normal or should it be relatively instant. Regards access I battle to get into the share full stop. I can see my share, the shared disk but when I try and access any of them it says it's unaccesible.

drm copyright
I'm planning to ship nouveau drm in FreeBSD 8.0. In order to do that, I need to get copyright/license headers on a few files. The license I think is pretty straight forward, since I'll be using the usual MIT drm license. The following files don't seem to have headers at the moment and I would like to get this resolved soon, since we are approaching code freeze in a few days. ==>

Greetings, A fresh install of 7 followed by a cvsup to 7.2-PRE on the 26th results in an inability to build Xorg on the system. A cvsup only an hour ago provides no solution. An attempt at the following: cd /usr/ports/x11/xorg-minimal make produces the following error: ... checking pkg-config files for X11 are available... yes checking for LIBDRM... yes checking for DRI2PROTO... yes checking

WARNING: Break-in attempts
Greetings all, I''m forwarding a copy of an email I sent reporting attempted break-ins on my main server, earth.terran.org. I am forwarding this because I think it is relevant that folks watch for this kind of activity in their logs to catch people who "try doorknobs" in the middle of the night. After sending this email, I sent a talk request to the user, who was still logged
