NetworkManager / wireless on latest Centos7 installs
Hello All,
on the latest installs I've done, on 2 different types of Latitude laptops, with 3 different wireless cars, of Centos7 and Mate desktop,
it looks to me like NetworkManager is nog managing wireless.
When clicking the nm icon in the top right corner, I'm not seeing access points.
Wifi seems enabled
[root at localhost ~]# nmcli g

...erminal. This should
give me some idea of when wifi stopped working.
When the wifi stopped working, the pings stopped, in the update window
the cleanup after the install was taking place and had stopped at
cleanup of wpa-supplicant. Don't know what significance of that is.

New laptop recomendation
...'m very familiar with Dell.
The original question was whether anybody was running CentOS 6/7 on
Dell Latitude or Precision Workstation so I could replace Ubuntu with
CentOS.
Rather not go for XPS basically a gaming machine not expandable enough
same with Inspiron.
Thanks,
Tony

Memory-leak 1.2.7.1
...h thing, still happens.
- Memory leak due to a loop in my configuration ?
Nope, 3 diffrent configurations, 2 of them are _really_ simple (like 3
context and some dial strings :P).
Since I'm no programmer and not really a bug-hunter I'm out of idea's
right now. The only solution for me nog is to reboot the machines if and
when it happens. I was unable to find a similar problem in the
mailinglist and nobody had the same problem in the irc channel.
So I'm hoping somebody has a solution of a tip for me.

CentOS 7.0 works when installed but when you upgrade it to 7.2 the wifi
device stops being recognised.
I'm going to do an install later today of 7.2 and see how it goes.

error using find() method "couldn''t find"
I get the following error-message:
"Couldn''t find Activitycategory with ID=1"
How do I make RoR handle this error?
When the id is nog found he should return a string or 0 or whatever.
I''m guessing by using exceptions but I''m not very familiar with ruby
itself ...
Help?

RPM install/upgrade problem
...: unpacking of archive failed on file /usr/bin/alias;5423b9bc:

The same problem happens if I try to use rpm for the update so it
appears to be an rpm problem rather than a yum one.
I've rebuilt the rpm databases successfully but tthe problem persists.

OT?
I have a CentOS server with postfix running. A pop user's account was
compromised and a lot of spam started being sent. My upstream ISP's
mail program started refusing to talk to me because of the very high
rate of mail, error 451. I disabled the compromised account. I then
changed the postfix settings to deliver mail directly and flushed the
mail queue. This resulted in spam

Anybody got any experience of running CentOS on the newer Dell
Latitudes E5000 or E7000. These are not certified according to Redhats'
Hardware Guide.
Alternatively Precision Workstations would do. These can be supplied
with Ubuntu installed so they run Linux.
Thanks,

[LLVMdev] make check-all failing 18 tests with --enable-optimized
...Cc: llvmdev at cs.uiuc.edu
Subject: Re: [LLVMdev] make check-all failing 18 tests with --enable-optimized
I don't know about the LLVM errors, but I have seen the Clang error before. It occurs because the test is not path independent. In Preprocessor/macro_paste_c_block_comment.c you have 'nog grep scratch', which means that you can't have 'scratch' in your path. I think this should be reported as a bug.

other libaries. I do not use the sssd service. The package gets an
update and now my systemd status is failing on a lot of systems and I am
