Hi all, Installing 5.5 on a fresh system having an Intel RAID. My 2 drives are configured as a mirror within the Intel BIOS. When starting my install, Anaconda throws an exception. After a brief goog, I see one possible fix is - at the install prompt, type; linux text nodmraid This is fine and all but Centos sees 2 disks at this point rather then 1 which is what I thought the Intel RAID controller would present to the OS. When doing the 5.2 installation the ONLY drive option provided is mapper/nvidia_cbjcdhfe (250G) My system has 2 SATA - 250G drives and I want to use them in a RAID/LVM configuration. I have the CentOS 5.5 install DVD and trying to install with software RAID1 on two 2TB SATA drives. The CentOS install only sees one drive. This is a Supermicro motherboard with fakeraid turned off in bios. I tried the trick like so: dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=512 count=64 dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdb bs=512 count=64 Still no go. linux rescue console does see both sda and sdb. Whats

I am experiencing hangs on the Keyboard Lang selection screen in GUI Mode install on a M/B setup with Intel BIOS SATA RAID. Workaround is to use 'linux nodmraid' switch which disables visibility of RAID volumes during drive detection of Disk Druid. Hi, I am having some difficulties installing centos 5.3 on the gigabyte GA-MA790FX-UD5P motherboard.
