scp: wrong error message
Hi,
I'm using scp from openssh-5.1p1 on opensuse 11.1.
trying to copy a file to a nonexisting directory with scp gives the wrong error message:
harald > scp /etc/passwd remote:nodir/
scp: nodir/: Is a directory
harald > ssh remote ls -ld nodir
ls: cannot access nodir: No such file or directory
IMHO the error message should read e.g. "directory does

On the fly Machine accounts
I have been trying for 2 months to get my samba server to add machine
accounts 'on the fly"
I have added both of these to my smb.conf
add user script = /usr/sbin/useradd -d /dev/null -g 100 -s /bin/false -M %u
add machine script = /usr/sbin/useradd -d /dev/null -g 102 -s /bin/false
Neither of these seems to do anything.
I have around 250 computers to add, so adding the machine

Share and Remote mounting ZFS for anonyous ftp
...oming
Mounted the shared file system on SystemB:
mount SystemA:/export/ftp/incoming /export/ftp/incoming
I''ve setup /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess for upload to /export/ftp/incoming and
to change owner and permissions to a local user:
upload /export/ftp /incoming yes webadmin www 0440 nodirs
Problem is that I will get errors when I try to upload a file. Errors are
either permission denied or a fchown error. I''ve changed ownership on the
/export/ftp/incoming from root to webadmnin to ftp without success.
Need suggestions fast for this project is suppose to go live soon.

Only silence trying to play streaming MOH
I am having trouble getting streaming MOH to work. As far as I can tell I have everything configured properly but there is only silence. Your help is appreciated. I am running Asterisk 1.8.11-cert10 with mpg123 1.12.1 to play the stream (I have tried
madplay, and mpg321, and I compiled streamplayer as well with the same results). I started by finding a working stream and tested this from the shell

GFS + Restarting iptables
Dear List,
I have one last little problem with setting up an cluster. My gfs
Mount will hang as soon as I do an iptables restart on one of the
nodes..
First, let me describe my setup:
- 4 nodes, all running an updated Centos 5.2 installation
- 1 Dell MD3000i ISCSI SAN
- All nodes are connected by Dell?s Supplied RDAC driver
Everything is running stable when the cluster is started (tested
