Accessing the associated LLVM IR Instruction for an SDNode used in instruction selection (back end)
Hello. I would like to access the LLVM IR Instruction from which an SDNode (from SelectionDAG) originates. For this I have modified: - llvm/lib/CodeGen/SelectionDAGISel.cpp, SelectionDAGISel::SelectBasicBlock(), namely I put SDB->clear() at the beginning of the method in order to avoid clearing NodeMap after creating the initial SelectionDAG from LLVM IR, since I want to access

Accessing the associated LLVM IR Instruction for an SDNode used in instruction selection (back end)
Hello. Quentin, retrieving the LLVM IR instruction from which an SDNode originates is useful during the instruction selection phase. For example, I need to recover the LLVM IR variable which is used to fill an entire vector with the ISD::BUILD_VECTOR target-independent SDNode . From the recovered LLVM IR variable I can walk on the use-def-chains in order to get the most complete

[PATCH 00 of 10 v3] Automatic NUMA placement for xl
Hello, Third version of the NUMA placement series Xen 4.2. All the comments received during v2''s review have been addressed (more details in single changelogs). The most notable changes are the following: - the libxl_cpumap --> libxl_bitmap renaming has been rebased on top of the recent patches that allows us to allocate bitmaps of different sizes; - the heuristics for deciding

Is it possible to use quorum for CTDB to prevent split-brain and removing lockfile in the cluster file system
Hello list, We know that CTDB uses lockfile in the cluster file system to prevent split-brain. It is a really good design when all nodes in the cluster can mount the cluster file system (e.g. GPFS/GFS/GlusterFS) and CTDB can work happily in this assumption. However, when split-brain happens, the disconnected private network violates this assumption usually. For example, we have four nodes (A, B,

creating Intrinsic DAG Node
I'm trying to 'lower' an operation that needs to create a node in the SD that is an intrinsic call.... what is the best way to do this? I see in the DAGBuilder it calls 'setValue' which adds to the map NodeMap[V] where V is the key and the passed in SDValue is the value but I'm not sure this is a good way to do it since these are local to SelectionDAGBuilder and the

CIFS client mounts meta ops 30 times slow than server
Hi Samba users, We would like to use samba for re-exporting our other distributed file system (BeeGFS). However, we found that the meta data operations are very slow (dir stat, removal etc.). On SMB client the performance is more than 30x slow than on the SMB server. We would expect some slowness but this is too big a drop. This is the result on CIFS client $ sudo mdtest -b 10 -I 10 -L -z 2

question: access IR class Instruction from DAG SDValue
Seems llvm cannot pass metadata to MachineInstr, or setting operand description in class Instruction and pass to class MachineInstr. Is it a good idea to extend llvm kernel structure to having this feature? [PATCH] ocfs2/dlm: check dlm_state under spinlock
We should check dlm->dlm_state under dlm->spinlock though maybe in this case it doesn't hurt. [PATCH v2 0/5] xl: allow for node-wise specification of vcpu pinning
Hi all, This is the second take of a patch that I submitted some time ago for allowing specifying vcpu pinning taking NUMA nodes into account. IOW, something like this: * "nodes:0-3": all pCPUs of nodes 0,1,2,3;  * "nodes:0-3,^node:2": all pCPUS of nodes 0,1,3;  * "1,nodes:1-2,^6": pCPU 1 plus all pCPUs of nodes 1,2    but not pCPU 6; v1 was a single patch, this is

CIFS client mounts meta ops 30 times slow than server
Also from my observation, based on network packets and time measurements, it seems the CIFS clients haven't done any sort of cache. For example, doing a "ls" for 5 times on the same folder within a short period of time. The network packet sizes are almost equal every time and the time it takes is similar. Isn't there supposed to be some page cache or dentry cache that could

question: access IR class Instruction from DAG SDValue
I am working on llvm gpu backend. The instruction metadata can only get in IR (class instruction). In DAG stage, the instructions are reordered, so I cannot map the metadata to correct instruction if I cannot access instruction from DAG or MachineInstr structure. > On Nov 26, 2017, at 11:02 PM, Ryan Taylor <ryta1203 at gmail.com> wrote: > > It might be a more useful to know what

[LLVMdev] DSGraph question
Dear LLVM, If I have a DSGraph dsg, I want to duplicate a DSgraph which is exactly the same with dsg. How should I do that? Should I use DSGraph dsg2 = dsg; or use some other methods? Thanks, xiaodong

Yes, use the copy constructor. If you want mapping between the original and the new graph's nodes, you can also use this form of the copy ctor: DSGraph(const DSGraph &DSG, std::map<const DSNode*,

creating Intrinsic DAG Node
Matt, Thanks for the response. Is there an example in the code somewhere of doing the intrinsic ID method? I don't need to put it a lot of places so I'm not sure it warrants adding a node. Thanks.
