nodebytes,leafwords
hello all, we are developing and porting vorbis1decoder on a 24 bit platform. in the process we came across somedoubts about node bytes and leaf words. from the specification we got that we are arranging the huffman codeword tree into an array. the nodebytes are the number of bytes that are required to represent a node and leafwords are the no. of bytes required to represent the leaf i.e the

Reg. getting codewords from codelengths
Hi, I am a bit confused on how code-words are derived from the codeword lengths. I will appreciate if someone can point me in the correct direction. I will take the example of an actual codebook that i found in a valid vorbis encoded file as shown below. [SK] +------Codebook [0] -------- [SK] Codebook Dimensions = 1 [SK] Codebook Entries = 8 [SK] Unordered [SK] 1, 6, 3, 7, 2, 5, 4, 7, [SK] NO

RTP profile draft!
Hi Jean-Marc and list, I'm trying to negotiate speex with SIP/SDP and get some trouble understanding the "mode" parameter: mode: Speex encoding mode. Can be {1,2,3,4,5,6,any} defaults to 3 in narrowband, 6 in wide and ultra-wide. Is mode equivalent to the "quality" parameter of speex? In this case, I don't understand why mode is not from 1 to 10... Just

Encoding mode
Hello, In the internet draft describing the SDP parameters for speex I find this: mode: Speex encoding mode. Can be {1,2,3,4,5,6,any} defaults to 3 in narrowband, 6 in wide and ultra-wide. In the documentation I can only find the following request: SPEEX_SET_MODE There is no description though what this request does. I think the mode somehow maps to the bitrate, but I

Speex 1.0 RC3 is out
Hi, Just to let you know that Speex 1.0 RC3 is out. It should be the last RC until 1.0 is released (tentative release date is March 16th). Please give RC3 a try and report bugs so they can be fixed before 1.0. As usual, download from http://www.speex.org/download.html Jean-Marc -- Jean-Marc Valin, M.Sc.A. Speex codec for 8Kbps setting ?
Hi, I am looking how to setup speex codec in codecs.conf for 8 Kbps and 6 Kbps. In config file are many parameters for setting. I don't know what is need to change for narrowbad like 8 Kbps and 6 kbps. Any suggestion? [speex] ;0-10 quality => 4 ;0-10 complexity => 4 ; true / false enhancement => true ; true / false vad => false ; true / false vbr => false ; 0 = off, otherwise,

HW-Speex: Fileformat and encoding process
Hi I have just written a small c programm which reads in speex files and outputs them as asci text numbers. This is necessary as for writing a hw testbench for decoding tests, since thy only read ascii files :-(.I can't read the bitrate properly from the header file. It's allways -1. Please see example below and attached c programm. I wan't to check for a fixed bitrate (8000).

[LLVMdev] Crash in PBQP register allocator
Hi Lang, I'm surprised about the fact that you omit R1/R2 reductions in some cases. Can you give a more detailed description of the bug (e.g. a PBQP dump)? Best regards, Sebastian Lang Hames wrote: > Hi Sachin, llvm-dev, > > I've just committed a new PBQP solver which, among other things, > should take care of this bug. > > Please let me know how it works out for you.

[LLVMdev] Crash in PBQP register allocator
Hi Sachin, llvm-dev, I've just committed a new PBQP solver which, among other things, should take care of this bug. Please let me know how it works out for you. Cheers, Lang. equalize / ecmp not working as expected in 2.6 vs 2.4
Hi, With kernel 2.4 I was able to use equalize to send our outgoing packets to two different routers (our isp supports this setup), like this: ip route add default src ip.a.dd.rr equalize nexthop via <router1> weight 1 nexthop via <router2> weight 1 The two routes were used equally on a per packet basis, not per flow or per cached route, but per packet, each line has 800k upload
