%M resolve to IP (only)
...I see there is %M variable. I have defined following service ## backup share [backup] path = /srv/backups/machines/%M read only = No public = no writable = yes printable = no Still samba resolve this to /srv/backups/machines/192.168.10.11 Reverse DNS is working fine on machine: node001 ~ # host 192.168.10.11 11.10.168.192.in-addr.arpa domain name pointer dmz001.domain.com.
