[homes] vs [homes$]
Hi all. Is it possible to have a generic share like [homes] that hides all user home dir shares by default by appending a "$" to them? I'd search the archives but they have not yet been tx'd. I realise there is "browse vs nobrowse" but I specifically need to have end users map to \\srv\user$ rather than \\srv\user. -- Mark Drummond|ICQ#19153754|mailto:mark.drummond@rmc.ca UNIX System Administrator|Royal Military College of Canada The Kingston Linux Users Group|http://signals.rmc.ca/klug/ Saving the World ... mount type and ensure => present on OS X
Hello all. There is some strange thing going on with our OS X clients. We have created a package which is run via SystemStarter. What it does? It parses /etc/fstab and mounts the NFS directories mentioned there. This is needed since we want to have static mounts and the NetInfo-automounter combination does not do static mounts (even with ttl=0 set for the mount, which is supposed to do a

NFS question (and Best Practices)
I saw in another post that a best practices doc will be coming, but I figured I would try to get this working. I''m trying to understand why zfs uses so many "zfs create" so I can use it better. What makes sense is that each zfs fs can have it''s own options (compression, nfs, atime, quota, etc). I really love this because it is so tuneable -- compression on these
