Exim still accepting emails to nonexistent users
After adding the configuration bit: deny message = invalid recipient domains = +local_domains !verify = recipient/callout=no_cache from: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/LMTP/Exim <http://wiki2.dovecot.org/LMTP/Exim> running update-exim4.conf and service exim4 restart the server is still accepting emails to recipients that do not exist in dovecot. Any ideas?

yum through a squid proxy
Hello, I've got a centos5 box that is now behind a what was transparent squid proxy. The proxy now has it's own dedicated ip and uses proxy basic authentication. I've got a firewall that redirects all outgoing port 80 traffic to that ip so anyone wishing access goes proxied. The problem is yum on my centos5 can't retrieve the .xml files for the various yum repositories. In

Tiny Network-Problem with Office Software
Hi, I am having some trouble to some Office software with wine. The Program itself starts without problems and runs quite fine. But unfortunatly I am not able to connect to our local Datebase. My Ubuntu Linux itself doesnt seem to have any problems in connecting to the server (but I admit that I don't know how to check if I can access the port 5143 that is used to connect to the database.).

guidelines for using the R logo
Hello, I am writing an R-guide which is addressed especially for students of German Universities (http://www.rrzn.uni-hannover.de/buch.html?&no_cache=1&titel=statistik_r). For the title page, I want to use the R logo. I found a similar question in the R mailing list about the same topic. The answer was that the usage of the logo is OK. However, this already a few years ago and I was wondering wether this is still up-to-date or w...

I launched winbindd in debug99/foreground/no_cache mode. I waited about 10 seconds, then issued "wbinfo -u". wbinfo -u took 4 minutes to complete. It completed and displayed the correct/valid list of users. During the several minutes it took to display the users, winbindd was logging lots activity. The activity was interrupted by lo...
