Problem with AIX 4.1.5 and Samba 1.9.18p2
...d upon setting up
inetd.conf and executing a kill -1 {pid of inetd} the locks directory
still does not exist, no log files are created and STATUS..LCK is not
created.
I execute
start
-->run
--->\\{system name}
I get an error referring to the machine or system name does not exist.
I execute nmbstatus {system name} and get the following:
Sending queries to xxx.xxx.xxx.255
name_query failed to find name {system name}
Try smbstatus and get the following:
Couldn't open status file /usr/local/samba/var/locks/STATUS..LCK
I have enven attempted to create the locks directory by hand and opened...

Newbie: listing workgroups and hosts
Hello everybody,
I think that this should a be a trivial task but I've already read the
documentation but couldn't find out how to get a list of all
workgroups and their hosts with "smbclient".
Could somebody give me a hint please(and sorry for that silly question)?
