Can not Join to NT Domain
...problems like this:
a. I try to set netbios name with "netbios name=mycomputer", but Samba always
use first DNS name
b. I try to set netbios alias, but I can not attach that alias name with
smbclient command and under windows client
c. I try to set wins server to NT server, but when I use nmblokup. it always
search on localhost
d. Actually I have NT Server as PDC, I don;t know how to join My Samba server
into NT domain.
Anybody can help me??? thanks

net view can see server, but nmblookup '*' can't find it!
...orks great except for this
one box.
On another windows box, when I run "net view", the XP box is listed as
I expect.
On my linux box, when I run "nmblookup -A 192.168.0.111" it returns
with the correct data about the XP box's shares.
But on the linux box, when I run "nmblokup '*'", it returns all the
other boxes, linux and windows, except for this one XP box.
Here is the output from "nmblookup -d 10 -A 192.168.0.111". Can you see
anything that might prevent this box from showing up in "nmblookup '*'"?
