Dovecot authentication through proxy
Hi everybody,
I run two redundant Dovecot servers with a shared Maildir on a GlusterFS volume and a SQL authentication backend based on a mirrored MariaDB database.
Because of the splitbrain situation I would like to add two Dovecot Director as proxies.
Since a few days I am trying to get the setup running.
In the meantime I have achieved that the clients can successfully authenticate on the

question about Mailcrypt plugin
Hi everybody,
I have a question about the Dovecot Mailcrypt Plugin.
I'm trying to understand what the security of this plugin is based on.
The encryption with private and public key and elliptic curves is basically a good thing. But the keys are in the file system together with the encrypted mails. The passwords for the private keys are in the user database.
