smbclient sending output to stdout
I'm using smbclient 3.0.22-13.16-SUSE-SLES10. I'm using the smbclientparser Perl module to use smbclient from within my Perl scripts. Whenever I perform a GET on a file, smb outputs this line to stdout: Domain=[mydomain] OS=[Windows 5.0] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager] This results in hundreds of mail messages in my local mail queue. How can I turn this off, so that smbclient

Compiling xen on x86 solaris
All; I was wondering if xen 4.1.0 will compile in x86 solaris 10 environment? The prerequisites list has some items that do not appear to be solaris compatable. I am evaluating virtualization solutions and would like to give xen a fair look. Linux to Windows Interoperability
Hello, Currently using a freely available MS Windows file system driver, Ext2Fsd, to communicate (read/write) with external media formatted EXT3 (Linux volume) from within MS Windows. Curious to know if Samba is able to support communication (read/write) with external media formatted EXT3 (Linux volume) from within the MS Windows environment? Looking forward to your reply. Thanks. NT_STATUS_SHARING_VIOLATION when trying to delete files
I searched the archives already and couldn't find an answer to this. I'm running an automated process via a cron job on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 box. The cron runs a Perl script, which uses the SmbClientParser module. The Perl script grabs files from clients running Windows 2000. The files on the client computers are created by in-house MFC applications on those computers.

SAMBA install on IRIX 6.5
I am having problems with Samba on IRIX 6.5 authenticating via Active Directory. Installing the tardist of 3.0.21c did not give me kerberos/ldap/adc capabilities even though Kerberos and LDAP were prereq's. With OpenLDAP and Kerberos5 installed, my configure fails. I am trying this: ./configure --libdir=/usr/lib --includedir=/usr/include --prefix=/usr/samba --with-ldap --with-ads

Font rotation
Hi, I am using MS PowerPoint2007 with Wine(Ver. 1.1.27) on Ubuntu 9.10. Everything seems to work fine, but I found a strange behavior of font rotation in the PowerPoint. Text are displayed correctly for any angle of rotation except +/- 90 degree. At 90 degree of font rotation the text seems to be compressed as shown in the attached image. Is this a bug? Thanks in advance. Tak --------------

problem with 5.4 x86_64 DVD iso?
Hi all, I downloaded the 5.4 x86_64 DVD ISO this morning (CentOS-5.4-x86_64-bin-DVD.iso). However, the md5sum and sha1sums both don't match what's in the md5sum.txt or the release notes (http://wiki.centos.org/Manuals/ReleaseNotes/CentOS5.4). I downloaded two ISOs from two different mirrors, RIT and ANL, and both ISOs have the same checksums (match each other), which are different from

Non-native codecs - MELPe?
Has anyone needed a coded that Asterisk does not natively support, such as MELPe or CVSD? If so, did you find a pure software solution and provided that as an addition to Asterisk? Was that solution successful? Has using an I/F card with a DSP proved to be the better solutions? We are beginners with Asterisk so any help/advice on how to best implement non-native Codecs into Asterisk will be

Does anyone know of a package that includes the Modified Sims test [Gewerke, 1983, Sims, 1972]? [UNDER CONSTRUCTION] YAC? (Yet Another Capistrano)
My needs are far more modest than Capistrano''s capabilities. Also, when working in a shared hosting environment, the Capistrano model can be outside the capabilities allowed by the Web host. I simply need to push selected directories (on a changed-file basis) out to a server. I have about 80% of the code written to do this (I''m considering YAC for the name, with a nod to

All attempts to connect to our Samba server, share "\data" from any Windows client fails. I'm trying to get samba to prompt the windows user with a login box, have them enter the samba username/password, then head onto the share. If I use in the address field the following: \\gaia\data /user:woellki a dialog box appears, with the username field greyed out "Gaia\Guest"
