Hi ,Version 2.2.8 I have samba 2.2.8 installed on HPUX 11.11 machine, recently I found the share are getting disconnect frequently, I get following error. Hello Samba folks, A couple years ago I installed Samba 2.2.0 on our HP9000 running hpux 10.20. I am now trying to install it on a customer's HP9000 and am getting the error "No locking available. Running Samba would be unsafe" while executing the configure command. I got that error a couple years ago and resolved it by linking /usr/bin/cc and /opt/ansic/bin/cc but that is not

Cannoi delete files: "the mounted file system does not support extended attributes"
Hi all, I'm having what seems like a strange problem, I hope I'm not missing something obvious, any help will be appreciated. When trying to delete files on a Samba share, I get the message "Cannot delete <file>: The mounted file system does not support extended attributes." Samba stops working on HP-UX 11
I've had a consistent problem with Samba from 2.2.1 onwards, maybe even before then, I'm not sure when it started. Anyway, Samba will randomly stop responding to any requests, although it usually occurs after transfering large amounts of data (1 GB+). To get around the problem, I've been restarting samba every night, but we still have the problem occasionally. smbclient shows:

The kernel tuneable is nflocks and its untuned size is determined partly by the user license that your HP-UX os is installed with. I <believe> that for the little 2 user HP-UX os, the default is around 200 flocks systemwide. I ran into this issue when trying to get smbtorture lock tests passing on HP's build farm mach...
