Minor feature request: Let 'R CMD co*nfig' tell me where the INCLDIR is
On Debian / Ubuntu / ... we have [1]

R CMD config. It would be nice if something like
R CMD config R_INCL_DIR

core dump during make check when building 64-bit R on Solaris8/9
...From: Peter Dalgaard <p.dalgaard_at_biostat.ku.dk>

Replying to Re: [R] Errors during make check
He described a problem similar to mine, that build 64-bit R (I am
building R version 2.0.1) with sunperf library gives a core dump during
make check. So I configured my build without the sunperf (BLAS and

./configure --prefix=/usr/local/R-2.0.1
--with-tcl-config=/usr/sfw/lib/tclCo
nfig.sh --with-tk-config=/usr/sfw/lib/tkConfig.sh --without-blas
The "make check" ran without a problem after...

found another guy was having speed problems when runing programs on a Samba3
server with ldap backend. But I must admit I'm no Openldap expert, if you
can please take a look at my config and tell me what is wrong with it, it's
probably the ldap part... what I did try sofar stoped openldap , and did a
