Dovecot, Shared Mailboxes (via symlink), and ACLs
...have read over the Dovecot Wiki many times
and have scoured many forums but still can't seem to find a solution.
I have an IMAP mailbox that is working fine (user imapuser), so the
maildir and related structure is in: /home/imapuser/Maildir
I have another IMAP mailbox for another imap user, newuser1, also
working fine, with maildir and related structure in: /home/newuser1/Maildir
I have created a symlink under newuser1's Maildir to imapuser's Maildir
so as to give newuser1 access to the things in imapusers's inbox. I

Permission question
Hello,
We own a CentOS Server which hosts a few domains using Cpanel, however
each host or domain has its own user and its own folder under /home,
we want a separate user(newuser1) to have read and write privileges in
all home's subdirectories so we can do some tasks remotely using
WinSCP, that user is already in the sudoers group and the root login
is disabled in SSH for security, but I haven't been able to assign the
correct privileges and rights to newuser1 using...

Unable to give users access to folders within Samba share

to OldGroup since setting up winbind don't have access to the OldGroup
folder.
I thought this was perhaps an issue with winbind not updating the group
membership, except that this appears to be happening:
$ getent group DOMAIN\\OldGroup
DOMAIN\OldGroup:x:10097:DOMAIN\OldUser1,DOMAIN\NewUser1
$ getent group DOMAIN\\NewGroup
DOMAIN\NewGroup:x:10097:DOMAIN\OldUser1,DOMAIN\NewUser1
Yet if DOMAIN\OldUser1 connects, that user has write access to
'Archive' (which was set up before winbind) but not 'test' (which was
set up after winbind had been running for a while.) NewUser...
