NewGem: flagpole_sitta
I have created a new caching gem and am looking for feed back. This is my first gem so any feedback would be great. Also test cases are being built now. -------- Flagpole Sitta is a gem thats main purpose is to make it easier to effectively fragment cache in dynamic fashions in Rails. When ever a cache is created it is associated with any model and/or record you tell it to be from the view

Save sessions on file system instead of database table?
Hi Is there a way to save session data on the file system (like in Rails) instead of a database table? The reason I''m asking is, that I''m writing a Camping application without using ActiveRecord (mostly for learning purposes) and I don''t want to use ActiveRecord just for sessions. Thanks, Thomas -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was

rspec, Rails 2.1.0, rubygems, Mac OS X Leopard - rubygems does not recognize latest version
I''m trying to run some specs on my Mac OS/Leopard machine (10.5.5) but rubygems won''t allow it: $ spec spec/models/my_spec.rb Rails requires RubyGems >= 0.9.4 (you have 0.9.3). Please `gem update --system` and try again. ...but I already have the latest & greatest installed: $ gem search --local rubygem *** LOCAL GEMS *** rubygems-update (1.2.0, 0.9.5) Tue Sep 16

Problems with rspec 1.1 required inside rake tasks
