Problem w/ b95 + ZFS (version 11) - seeing fair number of errors on multiple machines
Hi, After upgrading to b95 of OSOL/Indiana, and doing a ZFS upgrade to the newer revision, all arrays I have using ZFS mirroring are displaying errors. This started happening immediately after ZFS upgrades. Here is an example: ormandj at neutron.corenode.com:~$ zpool status pool: rpool state: DEGRADED status: One or more devices has experienced an unrecoverable error. An attempt was made to correct the error. Applications are unaffected. action: Determine if the device needs to be replaced, and clear the errors using &...

Disk near failure
Hi Yamaban, Great expalanation. I think you know how to buy an ssd. There is no doubt about samsung ssds quality vs other. My question about neutron was to get your opinion about this product. My doubt was about differences between slc, mlc and tlc. Mlc endurance respect tlc is better and I though that the mlc of neutron gives me more endurance respect to the tlc. From a technic point of view, why the samsung tlc is better of corsair mlc? And...

issue with openssh-server running in a libvirt based centos virtual machine
...s issue could most probably be caused by a path MTU/fragmentation problem... Then I moved my centos1 qcow2 image in another physical server called server2, with exactly the same hw specs and network connections, where I have installed an all-in-one OpenStack Pike. The network would be managed with neutron in this case, however I have configured neutron exactly so that the centos1 VM interface connects through a linux bridge (managed by neutron) to the server1 physical network interface, like in the libvirt case. # brctl show bridge name bridge id STP enabled interfaces brqa13e...

My guess would be that the switch isn't configured to give you access to VLAN 5 with tagged packets.

question about libvirt network Xml
Hi, I’m an openstack developer trying to use Assignment from a pool of SRIOV VFs in a libvirt <network> definition from this link http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Networking My question is is it possible for nova (the openstack compute) to know which VF out of the pool will be allocated to a VM before it invokes libvirt to launch it? Thanks In advance, Robert

FS corruption? bogus i_mode
Hello, I am doing some testing on a PXA270 based processor (on a single board computer) which makes the processor vulnerable to bit flips. One such bit flips seems to have corrupted the file system. The debug port on the board (it is a single board computer) had the following message when i think the FS corruption occured : <7>init_special_inode: bogus i_mode (33061) init_special_inode:

R postscript generation error (lines versus points) (PR#5285)
...e, whereas the left hand side is perfect. Output to other devices such as pdf is perfect. Possibly this reflects a different scaling being applied when points() or lines() are selected. One reason I found this is that I use a number of scripts in R to plot and multiplot data sets from x-ray and neutron powder diffraction analysis (and Rietveld fitting of this data in particularl). In these points() is used to plot the data and lines() to plot the refinement from the analysis. After upgrading I found these were misaligned. The example was created to mimic the problem. %%% Example follows: dtw...

[trees-plugin] - Dovecot index gets corrupted, when using maildir and recievend and accessing mail at the same time
Hello dovecot team, at first I want to thank you the awesome dovecot software. I'm currently researching and developing the trees plugin (https://0xacab.org/riseuplabs/trees). In the future I would love to package this software for debian. I run into a problem, which I can not fix by myself, that's why I'm reaching out to you. The plugin is producing a reproducible error, when using
