[LLVMdev] Windows development and "virus" in LLVM test suite
...LVM by default either because they take too long to run, have too many host dependencies, have weird license restrictions, etc etc. It's not clear to me that making this optional test suite easier to install on restrictive platforms like Windows with this security software you mention is worth neutering the ClamAV tests run... -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Multiple Standalone Servers With Single LDAP Server
Hi, I'm trying to set up multiple standalone Samba servers that use the same OpenLDAP back-end database for authentication, but on any servers beyond the first one I cannot seem to get past the error like the following: "The primary group domain sid($SecondaryServerSID) does not match the domain sid($PrimaryServerSID) for $UserName($UserSID)" It seems nuts to have to set up a

[PATCH 08/13] drm/nouveau: drop DRM_AUTH from DRM_RENDER_ALLOW ioctls
From: Emil Velikov <emil.velikov at collabora.com> The authentication can be circumvented, by design, by using the render node. >From the driver POV there is no distinction between primary and render nodes, thus we can drop the token. Note: the outstanding DRM_AUTH instance is: - legacy DRI1 ioctl, which is already neutered Cc: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs at redhat.com> Cc: nouveau at

Client Uses Impostor DC
Hi, We have two domain controllers running Ubuntu 12.04 and Samba 4.0.6-Debian. The other day, we had a user set up a Windows Server 2012 computer on our development network for testing. This user chose to set up his Windows server as DC, DHCP server, DNS server, and more, for a new domain that he gave the same name as our production domain (let's say both domains are named

Developers word on SFTP/SCP chroot'ing?
Hello all, I've taken a brief skim of the archives available on theaimsgroup and talked to some others regarding the ideas on chroot SSH/SFTP/SCP functionality. I've also investigated a few of the various patches out for chroot sftp|scp|ssh and am a bit of a loss at finding 'an elegant solution' to the problem. Bearing in mind the excellent starting ground of John Furman's

NUT on Windows revival
Hello all, After a hectic month in private life, as a byproduct I've got a viable merger of last released NUT 2.6.5 based Windows-ready codebase (thanks to the giants active a dozen years ago, on whose shoulders I stood today) and modern 2.8.x/master, fixing the merge conflicts and build warnings. Some details were tracked in discussion of https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/5

Might we also have problems with virus-scanning firewalls? Would it work if we XORed the ClamAV test's inputs with something, and then modified the test to XOR the results of its reads (to undo the transformation). If that is sufficient to get around this issue, then it...

[LLVMdev] Proposal: intp type
...xplains in prose the problem it is trying to solve, the tradeoffs, and a proposed implementation approach (like you have above). Whether or not you get time to start implementing it, it is a good idea to document the design tradeoffs considered and the effects of various decisions (such as neutering constant folding when TD isn't around). This is also a good way to get others to help out, -Chris -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [LLVMdev] Windows development and "virus" in LLVM test suite
1. I can't tell Microsoft Security Essentials to ignore anything. Even if I click Allow, it breaks the pull. 2. The issue is not me. I don't download virus infested stuff and I don't visit dangerous sites so I rarely have a need for antivirus solutions. The issue is the newcomer Windows user whom I have to instruct to disable and/or remove his antivirus program if he or she wants to

NUT on Windows revival
Back from vacations, and before I dive into real-life work, I went over some ideas and notes from the NUT for Windows effort. Now they should be tracked at https://github.com/orgs/networkupstools/projects/2/views/1 and community help is welcome :) I probably forgot or missed some caveats - so feel free to post issues for this project if you think of some more... Idmap_ad troubleshooting assistance
I have Samba 3.0.7 installed and running in security = ADS mode and I've built and installed the Idmap_ad backend according to the instructions. Group lookups seem to work fine, but getent passwd and id functions fail with the message - ad_idmap_get_id_from_sid: ads_pull_uint32 : could not read attribute 'gidNumber'. If I manually run an ldap query against Active Directory the

Install Successes!
The CentOS drive for the HP NC4010 is built. I just needed to use external instead of USB power for my USB CDrom. Go figure... I did this in my hotel room, where they only have wireless. I went down to the 'business center' and used an ethernet drop, but I don't think the registration worked. I didn't know that even for the ehternet drops you have to do that portal thing
