2.1 Neuros Firmware News
As mentioned above, the [8]Neurosetta project has come to a close.
The actual release of the final Ogg Vorbis firmware is up to Digital
innovations, so please don't ask us when that will happen. Until then,
beta versions can be downloaded from the Neurosetta page or from

beta firmware for Neuros available
For the two or three of you who are subscribed to the mailing list that
*haven't* heard already... from the blurb on Slashdot:
"Xiph.org has made a beta release of firmware with Ogg Vorbis support for the
Neuros portable music player. You can grab the firmware from the Neurosetta

Hardware List Draft
...ing has already
begun. The units will be on the market soon, with Vorbis slated to
be playable this spring.
Please do not run out and purchase this device immediately, assuming
that Vorbis playback will be supported by Neuros. The firmware we
write for them (codenamed 'NeuRosetta') will be documented in its
creation, and we'll have a site up to document the progress. When
that site says it's 'safe' to buy the unit, then it's safe.
That being said, we're contracted for the work, and we'll be hacking
like crazy to get it r...
