one physical machine and two virtuals and two netwroks
Hello list,
I''m looking forward to set up 2 virtual machines with two different
networks.
My idea is:
1 physical machine with xen and two network cards (eth0 for internal
network and eth1 for dmz). Every virtual machine is connected to one
physical network card.
Can I get issues with this configuration? Please help me because I have
no experience with xen yet.
Thanks!

file access with mongrel running as windows service
i have an archive of documents (word, excel, jpeg, png, gif...)
residing on a network share that is accessed via send_file.
when running mongrel on the command line the files are properly
delivered.
with mongrel running as a service they don''t.
now normally i would think that should be fixable by configuring the
service to run under a user that can read the files....

Server v. Workstation installation
Hopefully someone can help me. I've been running a windows 2000 Workstation
and Server.
This spring I added a Linux workstation (Red Hat 7.2 - Samba 2.2.3a) to the
network. Took some work but that is running fine. smb.conf seems to be
giving me what I want.
LAN addresses are assigned with DHCP. I have had several people tell me
that they have a network running with static addresses. I

RSYNC/FreeBSD/Macintosh files...
I am wanting to rsync over mac files to a freebsd 4.5 box, but have
recently found out that rsync does not preserve resource forks, or creator
types and maybe some other things. But, has anybody had any experience like
this, would tar'ing the files and then rsync'ing that seem a worthwhile
solution. There's a lot, so testing is going slowly. Thanks!
