No full administrator-permissions on local machines with samba 3 domain login
...we login on a windowsXP as domainmember (member of the admin group) it seems like we do not really have full administrator-permissions. we can add useres and can do some other tasks only an administraor is allowed to do. but some stuff is still not possible to do. i.e. we can not disable the networkconnection. thanks for your help. -- J?rn Fenzel

...list, Just before this summer I implemented a sambasetup with profiles, i.e. that users can logon any computer on the network and get the same setup. Now, this is proving to be troublesome, a) userprofiles have grown way to large. b) if a user downloads / uploads his profile to the server and the networkconnection goes down, the profile is corrupted and the user looses data. c) Outlook Express seems especially crashprone, and I've often experienced that users loose only the OE part of the profile. Now, all I need is that my users get their mail & adressbooksetup everytime they logon to a differen...
