Multiple interconnects
(Yep, it's me again) We've worked around some minor glitches and now have a pair of nodes happily sharing an OCFS volume. I was wondering, though, if it was possible to configure a second private IP address so that the nodes could communicate over more than one Gigabit Ethernet connection. Our RAC books and online docs make some vague references to multiple interconnects, but I have yet

Lighttpd,Apache, FastCGI, SCGI
...R. If someone wanted beocme master/expert at both FastCGI and SCGI what would be the setup on windows XP? My thinking is to use: -XAMPP+SCGI on c drive -WAMP+FastCGI on f drive -lighttpd +SCGI or FastCGI and bind different servers to different IPs as I can set IPs via loopback interface to my networkcard. This sound about right? Thanks in advance for the responses to this message.. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Connection PC - Amiga by means of Samba !
Hello there ! My Intention was to connect both the Amiga & PC to some sort of Network, and it had to be over the serial port, because Networkcards form Amiga are rather expensive. As I came up with this idea, I found some information from another person, who has already thried that, but said no word about installing samba. The connection worked, both computers can ping eachother over TCP/IP, but I seem to be not smart enough to install samb...

...oesn't want to talk to the >client, perhaps it wants the client to be in the DNS, or else. >Did you try to put the IP of the client into /etc/exports instead >of the network address? The purpose of network boot for me is to boot a not standard group of computers I don't know the networkcard addresss of, from network who get a IP address assigned by dhcp. It's for a testing area of incoming computers. That's why I have in /etc/exports: /netboot/base 192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash) /netboot/base (rw,no_root_squash) # allows all clients, won't work either >...

Probs with SAMBA(HPUX)<->NT connection
Hi, I have the following problem. We are using a linux box for the export of $HOME to NT-clients. All NT clients are patched not to use encryp. passwords. Now I tried to move everything to a HP9000(11.00). Samba (2.0.6) installation was easy. I've just moved the working smb.conf to the hp and it won't work. :( I tested everything from a linux box as described in diag.txt and it works.

samba transfer speed on shares
Hi all! I have searched through the archives and have not found an answer to this, but it is also possible I wasn't searching for the right thing, so here goes. I am running samba 2.2.7a on a RH 9 box. I am having issues with transfer speeds on my shares. I have the shares mapped to drives on my XP box. When coping files from the XP -> linux, The speed is great. But from linux->XP
