Why can't my backup user log in to the share?
...share too. Simple enough, you'd ahve thought, and I can
back up stuff from a Windows share fine. But, whether or not I have the
share correctly mapped to and working on the NT4 machine, the backups
regularly fail with messages like "logon failure" and occasionally
"unexpected network error". Trying to map a network drive on a Windows
machine using the backup server's username/password gives me 'Incorrect
password or unknown username'. The UNIX user arcserve does exist, though
it's 'arcserve' not 'ArcServe' (as it is on Windows).

Problem with network browsing
I'm trying to diagnose why my windows 10 clients can't do network browsing.
The network neighborhood doesn't show any of my machines running samba.
I've verified that all of my samba hosts are running nmbd!
I've reached the end of my ability to debug this, so I could really use
some help from the list to figure out why this isn't working.

Problem with network browsing
SMBv1 (the anonymous thing behind network neighborhood) because of the massive
security problems it caused was decprecated. Microsoft came up with network
neighborhood and they've shut it down due to their bad implementation.
Samba, likewise, doesn't support SMBv1 by default.

[XCP] XCP network and VLAN by Open vSwitch
Hello Everyone,
I am new with XCP.
I''ve setup several hosts with* XCP 1.0* and manage it through XenCenter and
command console.
Each host has two NICs, one (xenbr0) connected to a physical switch for
Internet (said sw1), the other (xenbr3) connected to a physical switch for
internal network (said sw2).
I am trying to setup VMs and VLANs on xenbr3.
I created a virtual bridge by "ovs-vsctl add-br brvlan2 xenbr3 2"
Then add a port (portvlan2) to brvlan2:
ovs-vsctl add-port brvlan2 portvlan2 tag=2
ifconfig vlan2 192.168.33.200
Now the problem is that I do know how t...
