openssh-1.2.2 with openssl-0.9.5 rsa problem
Hello...
to openssh-unix-dev at mindrot.org
cc djm at ibs.com.au
devel platform: linux intel redhat 6.2beta
http://violet.ibs.com.au/openssh/files/openssh-1.2.2.tar.gz from rpm at
same.
I am NOT subscribed to the openssh-unix-dev list.
I ran into a problem using openssh-1.2.2 with openssl-0.9.5. With
openssl 0.9.5 you can now compile shared libraries without idea, rc5 and
rsa.

Script.aculo.us Effects with callbacks not working as it should.
Hello all!
I''m having a problem which is driving me insane.
It''s probably related to the fact that I''m new to javascript.... :)
Here''s the thing, I have a couple of effects which are all being put
in the queue.
Some of these effects have callbacks; e.g. "afterFinish".
But the calback is being made directly instead of after the effect is done.

windows 98 and samba problem.
Hello,
Whenever I reatart samba on my bsd or my linux machines windows 98
network neighborhood looses either machine, I've got samba set up as a
wins server, and the 98 machine pointing to it, but this doesn't help.
The 98 machine can see it's own shares, but not the samba server, any
ideas?
I'm running 98, freebsd 3.4 release, slackware linux 7.0 and samba 2.05
and 2.06.
Thanks.

User.map
Good morning, I'm fairly new to samba and I installed Samba on my Unix box
and it works fine. I'm starting to setup users on the user.map. I'm having
trouble setting it up. Can you give me some Information on what steps I need
to follow to get the users setup with passwords?
Thanks

Smalls problems
Hello,
I install a server with Samba and the smb.conf in the enclosure. I've
got 50 users.
For one user, the home directory is not accessible !
For one computer (Win98), the command netuse Z: \\server\public doesn't
work (letter in use !)
Have you got any idea about this ?

NT Login with ipchains
Hello David,
After some experiments and discussions I came to the following result
concerning
private NT-Box connecting to a LAN via ipchains and using all NETBIOS
services (incl. domain-logon):
Cross-subnet browsing with NETBIOS could only be done by a local master
browser in the private net. I first thought of using Samba on the Linux
router for that. But the Samba service would have to use

[Fwd: Re: direct descent into home directory]
Hi:
The home directory isn't being maped to a letter (as in netuse h: /home).
After the user chooses the machine the user must login, he then sees in
the window a folder with the same name as his userid. The user must then
choose this folder to enter his home directory.
I want him to go directly into the folder without having to choose it.

Problems authenticating against NT PDC
I'm relatively new to Samba so please excuse any inconsistencies with my
terminology.
I'm running Samba 2.0.6 on Solaris 2.6 and having problems creating the Samba
server machine account on an NT PDC.
I already have an NT based domain 'PCDEV' which consists of a number of NT 4.0
workstations as well as a PDC ('AULE') and BDC running NT 4.0 Server with sp5
