smbadduser error
...abase (/etc/passwd) so I don't get it. However, some of the users aren't in that file and I can add them as Samba users... It's weird, isn't it? Well, Here you are the users in the DOMAIN: # wbinfo -u Administrator db2admin Guest guigonza IUSR_HAL IWAM_HAL krbtgt leosamba lrodrigu NetShowServices nuevo pruebasamba samba smbusr sysadm TsInternetUser usrsamba # If anybody knows how to fix this problem or has any clue about it, please let it me know... Problem with winbind
I am with a problem to configure the authentication of user through winbind. The command "wbinfo -u" returns the following list: ECP+luis ECP+alda ECP+jefferson ECP+wedila ECP+root ECP+luana ECP+Administrador ECP+Convidado ECP+TsInternetUser ECP+NetShowServices ECP+IUSR_SENEGAL ECP+IWAM_SENEGAL ECP+ASPNET ECP+krbtgt ECP+HOST/celta ECP+HOST/ecp20 ECP+SENEGAL$ This windows 2000 is the PDC's users. I enable the telnet and configured I pam it to legalize through winbind. The problem is that necessary to use, for example, ECP+luis in login it saw telnet...

Samba - User Authentication
Hi Robert and List, As you told me I upgrated to Samba 2.2.5 because I'm doing the test with a machine which has RedHat 8.0 and this RedHat version comes with it.... Anyway.....
