Passing one more file after initrd to the kernel...
Hi!
I have a particular need... I'm not sure if this is the right place to
ask, but surely here there are people that can say me if it is feasible
or not...
I'm working for a thin-client distribution (thinstation.sf.net); I want
to boot it from various media (netowork, cdrom, hd, usb key...), and at
the moment syslinux/isolinux/pxelinux are doing it very well...
The problem is that the distribution is composed by a kernel, an initrd
and a CONFIGURATION TEXT FILE, some kb-long, that should be read by the
system after boot...
At the moment I'm solving the pr...

Connecting quadbri to EuroISDN with 2 TE and 2 NT ports - what cables and settings ?

guess this is P2MP. Is this OK ?
Does anyone have working example for Germany ?
There is also one strange thing: I get this in dmesg when loading qozap

shows it in netowork mode:

How to: Improve Network Throughput of a XEN kernel?
...d xenified kernel (2.6.31.12) is bottlenecking at ~1MB/s. On the debain lenny xen kernel I am getting ~4.5MB/s.
I was
hoping one could suggest options in the .config that might be modified
in order to improve network throughput of a XEN kernel and therefor increase the data transfer rates over the netowork to and from the Xen host.
Thanks alot for any help! As always I will be willing to accept any suggestions :)

Two differente networks at the same ethernet pci adapter
Hello all,
I need to put an IP alias to the same ethernet card, like this:
eth0 - IP1/MASK1/BROADCAST1
eth0:1 - IP2/MASK2/BROADCAST2
In this box I will have another card that conects to a LAN netowork. I
need this two alias in eth0 becouse I have two routes do take, but it seens
to do not work. This is the script I am using (this scripts works fine when
I have two ethernet cards like eth0 and eth1 for backbone and eth2 for LAN):

Routing for multiple interfaces (marking ports)
...root@ns2 iproute2]# ip route show table 202
default via 10.1.1.1 dev eth2 proto static src 10.1.1.10
prohibit default proto static metric 1
In table 222 there is the rules about both link, if I want to make
balance in them. But I dont want to balance I just want to make all traffic
from my netowork to the internet that goes to port 80 go through my DSL line
(eth2) and all the rest goes through eth0 (frame relay), so into table 222 I
made this route:
[root@ns2 iproute2]# ip route show table 222
default via 200.163.208.1 dev eth0 proto static src 200.163.208.3
I have marked all packges...

SYSLINUX 3.05 released
I decided the FAT directory-parsing bug was about as serious as it gets,
so I decided to push out a new release. However, I decided I feel
comfortable enough with the new features (or at least, that they
wouldn't break anything else, knock on wood) that I did the patch off
the 3.10 development tree and called it 3.05.
Changes in 3.05:

Mbuf Clusters on 4.8
Ive been googling quite a bit now for problems with
running out of mbuf
clusters. Im basically sending a 30k datachunk down
1000-4000 connections,
but 1000 is more than enough to quickly fill upp 8192
mbuf clusters. I also
tried setting maximum amount of mbuf clusters to 65536,
but that only made
the box hard-wire 86MB of 96MB RAM, making it just as
unsuable as a dead
machine.
Of course, when the

P2V: Headless support
This introduces support to run P2V without X server. Runtime parameters
are specified via kernel command line making it hopefully suitable for
automated migration with a little help of PXE boot.
Patchset is not squashed and represents dev. history.
