Tiny Network-Problem with Office Software
...s) but it didn't helped. (when I type in hostname -i it says my local IP though) My Office Software has a dialog to search the network for the server but if I hit that button it just says "My Network Places" but there is nothing to browse, so I am quite sure that I don't have any netork conection at all. When I open Configure Wine it says I am using Ver 1.0.1. Ubuntu hasn't offered me an update yet. I am quite sure that the problem is easy to solve and I am just to blind to see whats wrong. I hope anyone can help me! :)

libvirt-bin MOSTLY fails to create default virtual network
...narios after I reboot the host with 2 guests (which are supposed to autostart after boot/reboot of the host): 1. Default network is created but I can not ping guests. Gests don't have assigned IP address or they both have IP address 192.168.122.100. 2. Default network is not created. 3. Default netork is properly created and everything works fine. In each case guests are started and they work properly. Cases 1. and 2. happen a lot more often then case 3. My solutions: - When I restart libvirt-bin then everything is fine. - When I set 'sleep 40' in 'pre-start' section of /etc/ini...

how to emulate large IP routing table
Hi all I am conducting the experiments comparing IP router forwarding delay and MPLS LSR forwarding delay, it is obvious in theory MPLS in Core should be faster than IP, but for small netork (only have several core routers), result show it is not, this is why I want emulate a large IP routing table in one core router. can I do it and how ? right now I use static routing table (by using command : ip route add network/mask via gateway) thanks anyway yuxiao ----- Original Message -----...

Proxy Arp
...it up and clear Isp''s arp cache. But the Dmz server is slow when trying to hit the web server and times out on web server connections. Web pages may or may not come up when I called people outside my netwok to test it. The only difference is the network below and my network is this netork is running ipsec and ipsec complained of duplicate IP when I entered 64.42.53.203 on eth2 so as you can see below I configured eth2 192.168.10.0/24. I tried two different nights to set this up one night I used crossover cable between eth2 and Dmz and had same problem (slow or no connections...
