Polycom Phones & shorter than /24 netmasks
Has anybody tried to use a Polycom phone (I have 500s and 600s) with a netmask shorter than /24? (A network bigger than 255.255.255.0). We've run out of IPs in our initial /24 network, and I'd like to expand it to 255.255.248.0. When I set it to 255.255.248.0 I can ping the phone while the bootloader has control. As soon as the SIP application starts, I stop getting ping responses. Phone

When the inside functions of a sfq are called ?
I read the sched/qdiscs code from kernel source ... and I have some questions : When the .enqueue, .dequeue, .drop, .requeue functions are called ? What is the event that triggers them and how often this event apears ( per second ? ) ? When a qdisc is dequeued ( when it''s limit is reached ) ? Thanks _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list /

2 Gateways
Hello again, I may have a common problem to solve but it seems it is harder than I thought... I have 2 internet providers (each one having a different gateway). Behind the router there are around 100 clients that are SNAT-ed. I want some clients to be SNAT-ed to the first provider, while the others to the second one. The following lines should work: iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s

Transparent Redirect to external host
Hello all, After perusing the documentation, faqs, and mailing list archives, I have not been able to find a way to do the following. I''m hoping "you" can help. I want to transparently redirect all outbound SMTP connections to an SMTP server of *my* choice. This way, regardless of what a user on my network has set their SMTP server to be within their MUA, I will redirect
