Hi, I got the same problem with Build 10162. I dont think it's an Samba issue. It seems that Windows 10 dont like "\\....\netlogon". Our Samba 3.5.6 PDC works like a charm for win 7. From my Win10 PC i can access everything except \\dc1\netlogon Symptoms: Accessing \\dc1\netlogon -> Auth fail Accessing \\dc1\netlogon2 -> Works (same config!!!) Accessing \\dc1\s1\netlogon

BDC needs a [profile] and [netlogon] share ?
Hi all, I have a BDC which uses the LDAP backend of my PDC. Unfortunately all the users who log-in in the morning and who are processed by this BDC, do not get their logon script executed. The BDC logs this error message: [2013/05/24 07:28:11.946577, 2] auth/auth.c:304(check_ntlm_password) check_ntlm_password: authentication for user [foobar] -> [foobar] -> [foobar] succeeded

netlogon loop (migrating from 2.2.7 to 3.0.x)
Hi, I am migrating my aging 2.2.7 samba server to a new machine (Fedora Core2 + samba 3.0.x) but got stuck in a strange problem. My users can log in, can mount the shares but only if I remove the netlogon script. I can browse the available shares from windows and linux. I am using the same netlogon script which is similar to the one found in the documentation. My smb.conf [netlogon]

3.5.9: logon scripts are not working under non root user
I have issues running logon script on samba 3.5.9 (freebsd 8.2p1) under non root user. When i login to the XP box under root all is OK. logon script is working, but it's totally not working under all other users. turning on debugging reveals that under non root it's incorrectly parsing the logon script name from config (adding full network path to filename) unix_convert called on file

universal netlogon script
Hi Guys, Advise, I have 200 users, they all have access to 20 shares in different combinations. They all have their own netlogon scripts... its a management nightmare, is there a way to create a universal netlogon script that I can include all the shares to mount and it will silently fail on the ones it cant? Perhaps there is a smarter way to implement this idea, lynching is welcome, so is

Windows 10 in Samba 3 domain: netlogon share access denied
I just joined a Windows 10 (build 10130) to our Samba 3 domain. It seems to work. I can login, a home directory is created on the server, and I can access shares. All shares are OK, except "netlogon". Logon scripts don't run, and I cannot open the netlogon share. I get "Access denied" and a prompt to enter my username and password, which keeps coming back. At the

netlogon.bat issues
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I have samba configured so that users have their own netlogon.bat file (e.g. %U.bat) and each user has a .bat with their username in the netlogon share. So far I have been unable to get any of the shares that I have defined in the batch file to be mounted when a user logs in. Here is a snapshot of both the netlogon section of my smb.conf file and

root prexec/postexec & login scripts
I have a perl script that I'd like to use to create windows 9x login scripts at login time but I cannot get the process to work right. I have RedHat 7.3 (actually the k12ltsp v2.1.0 which is a modified RH7.3) set up as a domain controller which is working well. Manually created login scripts run fine on the workstations at login. I'm using a netlogon script I found at

netlogon script not running...(upgrade from 3.0.25b to 3.2.4)
Hi all, I have been using samba for a very long time and have just upgraded my 3.0.25b servers to 3.2.4. I have a bunch of BDC's located in different areas of the country and a PDC running at HQ. I'm using LDAP as the user directory and I replicate the tree to every site. Samba looks up users using the replicas. I also use netlogon scripts to mount drives and set the time when the

I have redone the basic checks on the samba server: smbclient //localhost/netlogon -U Administrator -c 'ls' -- works kinit administrator at INTERNAL.DOMAIN.COM -- works klist -- works smbclient //server/netlogon -k -c

Logon script
Hello, I am having a little problem with executing logon scripts on Win95 clients, logging into Samba Netlogon service. When a user logges in, a MS-DOS prompt shows up and quicky disappears. Then I get "Please Wait While your logon script executes". It hangs at that point. A user has to hit cancel to start his win95 session. I have done the logon script in MS-DOS editor. I have the
